So i just got done doing berings in my 929 motor! new rod bearings and crank bearings! I got it all together last night put the motor in the bike and got everything together and started it! it fired right up, no smoke, nothing besides this loud whinning noise! sounds like coming from the top of the motor but not sure! i let the motor run for 30 min at idle, and took it around the block and there is still that whinning noise! I think it might be either the timming chain or maybe clutch! If anyone has ran into this problem and know what it is let me know, thanks alot

my buddys 929 used to have a noise like that. it was just his throttle bodys. but it aslo could be somethin stupid like the cam gears rubbin somewhere

Never heard of that bro, mine has the occasional whine when i get on it, but nothing else besides the regulat motor clatter when riding without a helmet lol

ya, this whine is pretty loud at idle.
