Carpal tunnel syndrome

Anyone ever get carpal tunnel from stunting?.....I've been working hard on getting sitdown circles and ever since I've been trying them my right thumb and wrist are numb...i get tingling now, pain, ect. I think it's basically strained from hanging the **** on and working the throttle. Anyone else get this? What do you do to combat it? Sit down circles are a bitch but i really want to get them on lock without ******* up my hand so much i need surgery.

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

Yeah it happens. The doc told me to rub ice cubes on the bottom of your wrist when it starts to get numb & tingly. Taking an anti inflamatory will help out to.

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

I got it bad, during bike week when we ride 8 hrs a day i am woke up by a numb feeling running the length of my arm. Hurts bad enough to keep me up at night. I ice my arm everyday i ride and wrap my left elbow to try and slow the destruction of my tendons. Anti inflamatory and ice.

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

i cut my thumb in half and have a bunch of scar tissue that makes my hand go numb alot when im riding i cant even feel the brake after a long session... ibprofen and a diffrent master helped... 13mm made my brake squishy and less strain on my hand so i can ride alot longer without it killing me.

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

Best thing is to give it rest, take some time off from riding at least a few months if not it will never get better
ice for 20 min wait 20 min then soak it in warm water for 20 min with epsom salts everday 3 times a day!
And wrap it with ace bandage whenever u do have to use ur hands
this will help keep the tendon from being stressed

and vitamins!!!! Glycosmine condrine or sumthing like that helps not sure on the spelling but take ur vitamins!!!! And healthy diet

ive had tendonitsis in my wrist from carrying heavy stuff at work all the time, and when i rode bmx i use to land on my wrists alot from falling..... After taking care of the problem i no longer feel those pains....

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

my clutch hand goes numb once in awhile. i work on a pc so that only makes it worse. ive noticed that pulling my wrist out alleviates some of the numbness and pressure. only when i get it to pop though.

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

I have it from a crazy snowboard injury where I shattered my left arm, tore all my ligaments & tendons, got titanium elbow and titanium plate with 8 screws holding my arm together. I pretty much always have pain and that numbing feeling in that arm but every time I go riding, my arm is done for the rest of the night.

But **** it, NO PAIN NO GAIN!

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

my shoulder and elbow are ruined from playing baseball and pitching all my life. I have no cartilage in in my rotator cuff anymore all my ligaments are shot and i did nerve damage from it dislocating so my right hand is usually numb anyway so i don't really notice it in my wrist mostly my forearms

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

My left arm went numb and tingled for over a month. It would wake me up at night sometimes and make it hard to fall asleep. I would feel pain like someone stepped on my arm. Then the snow came and haven't been able to ride its gotten a lot better. Still have some pain in my hand once in awhile.

Re: Carpal tunnel syndrome

I also been working on circles and get this **** on my left hand. I almost didn’t feel three fingers. I stopped riding, went to hospital, and then, every morning during two weeks I took medicines, injections with drop counter, physiotherapy, and massage.. It helped, but not for 100 percent I started riding hard every day for a week or more and It happened again.
So I decided to make a surgery and now looking for a experienced doctor.
