Re: 636 radiators?
jay from fury inc just did this last weekend...put 05 on a 03 bike...u have to weld the 03 tabs on the sides on the 05 rad so they line up with the fairing mount points...and the temp sensor needs to be welded in too...he says it makes his bike run cooler, cuz its bigger ands newer...looks good too

Re: 636 radiators?
you dont HAVE to weld them. I just used the same mounting points and bent the tabs a little bit. also i didnt put a temp sensor on it and it keeps it cool. I just hardwired a fan to keep it cool and it never gets above 180. So its up to you

Re: 636 radiators?
They are not the same. 05-06 is Bigger, no fairing mounting tabs on side, and no temp sensor like the 03-04.
The 04 fan is not the same size as the 05 fan. I ran an 04 rad with an 05 fan. I had to rig up the mounting but it's do-able. Not sure on a 05 rad with a 04 fan.

Re: 636 radiators?
I know this is an old thread but.....I just installed 05 rad on my 04. If I just run it without temp sensor will I still get a temp reading on my gauges? Wasn't sure if there was a separate sensor for this? Another idea is to install the temp sensor in the lower coolant line...anyone see an issue with this?
