Re: race slicks for endos?
bro... im not talkin about rolling legit stoppies. Im talkin about just goofing off and lokcing it up and seing how long you can sustain it. Im not trying to say i can roll stoppies because I cant. Im lucky to go over 100 ft on a GREAT day. Im just saying that they are fun to **** off with. Not everything in this sport has to be about being 100% serious at all times. If you dont go out and have fun with it... then I dont think you should be in it. You cant tell em that bunny hopping man holes, short bridges and spped bumps arent fun. why should locking up your front wheel be any different than that kinda ****. Im in this for the love of it and Having fun. If you cant do that in this sport then what is it all about. Not everything is to be taken serious... much like many of my posts. I give out the best information to my personal experiences and i also **** off. People like to laugh and I try to help that along. Lighten up bro... have some fun every once in a while... Its okay once you get used to it.

Re: race slicks for endos?
well, I dont know anybody that "tried" a slick on the front and went back to a reg tire afterward. I do however know at least half a dozen that tried them and still run em, myself included. I barely ride on mine 5 minutes and its sticky as hell.

Re: race slicks for endos?
slicks love them. i've ran them for the past year. I run the pirelli supercorsa sc2 and sc3. i've ran them in the rain cold sandy lotts and other riders are running them after watching me roll when they are washing out. i really don't heat them up i get out the trailer and start riding. best you can do is try it. each rider is different. i like the smaller profile for my 180s and 270 but still rolls straight.
I like the feel and feed back of the slicks def..!

I just like the feel of slicks?
They seem to give me some confidence as I have never really had any problems with grip? "Feed back" may have been the wrong words to use.
And sure it's all preference but on a busted budget like mine they seem to be a good choice as far as price and good grip? But do not get me wrong I am no endo killer like Rowdy so I am in no way trying to give advise here. I was only agreeing with Abe and stating my personal opinion!

Re: race slicks for endos?
thats what i did to the stock f4i forks too, except for the valving.. 15 w in f4i is best for endo's! the RC51 which i run now (putting it in the RR too!!) has got 10 instead of 15, and is also really stiff! love it, wouldnt wanna change it..

Re: race slicks for endos?
my understanding is that theres a softer compound on the edges so when your out leaning the bike over you have more traction. . . so i dont see how it would help in stoppies where you roll on the center of the tire.

i love the powers, i know its only 7 more bucks but is the 2ct worth it i ran both and for stoppies it all felt the same.

for sever extra dollars why not. But there shouldnt be a difference in stoppies. They are sticky on the sides though.

Pilot Power, pilot power and only pilot powers.. Did i say to only run a Pilot power? Ohhh no Pilot race bullshit or Corsa super duty race sticky plus 43789 compound junk either..
But ive never tried a 2ct, but i dont like change ill just stick to my pilot power.
Did i say i like pilot power?
