Differences Between '03-'04 636 motors and '05-'06 motors

I've got a '05 636 with a cracked engine case and I need to either replace just the case or the whole engine may be easiest. I have an '04 complete engine and I am wondering what the differences are between the '04 636 engine and the '05 636 engine. What parts are interchangeable? Thanks!

they should be pretty close to the same if not than exactly. i think kawi only did internal mods so u should be able switch them out with only a few small maybe 3 or 4 .

The crank halfs on the 04 and 05 636 are different, you could try changin out the motors. Just check and make sure the mounts match up before you go to all that work.
