think this can be fixed???
so needless to say my bikes been gushing water for a lil while now, and me, being ghetto as hell, would just bring like 10 2liter bottles of water with me when i went to ride,....**** it just let it squirt out and keep puttin more in....so i finally drop the motor and this is what i find...the engine mount is pretty much broken off....my question, think this can be welded up gangsta like or am i just fucked as usual and haffta buy a new motor when i buy my new forks and subframe (let's just say the bike took a beatin this year)
pics suck i took em with the camera on my phone in shitty light, but lemme konw whatcha think

and more than likely given the history of a crack it will probably be the same way after a couple of crashes. Personally I would tell you to say your cash on getting it welded and go ahead and buy a new block or motor.

Re: think this can be fixed???
grind the cracks out to a v shape make sure is supa clean. thern take it to a aluminum welder. he wont guarantee it but it will be strong. come home and smear jb over the repaired area. It wont leak ive fixed many crank cases doin that and a few cylinders. when they weld the v it fills it in an makes it realy stron and usuall y water tight (MAKE SURE IS SUPER CLEAND THOU)

I had a 95 Gix 750 Old Skool that had a fin 1-1/2" crack on the bottom end. JBWeld'd and held for another like 7 or 8 thou miles til i sold the bike.. **** could still be runnin out there somewhere Its all personal situations - at the time I just didnt have the $$ for another motor
