think this can be fixed???

so needless to say my bikes been gushing water for a lil while now, and me, being ghetto as hell, would just bring like 10 2liter bottles of water with me when i went to ride,....**** it just let it squirt out and keep puttin more in....so i finally drop the motor and this is what i find...the engine mount is pretty much broken off....my question, think this can be welded up gangsta like or am i just fucked as usual and haffta buy a new motor when i buy my new forks and subframe (let's just say the bike took a beatin this year)

a pro can weld it, but he won't guarantee his work, it might still leak

and more than likely given the history of a crack it will probably be the same way after a couple of crashes. Personally I would tell you to say your cash on getting it welded and go ahead and buy a new block or motor.

just hit it with some brake cleaner and put some jb weld type epoxy in and around the hole..

i gut a buddy that does some sick weldin n' ****, but i don't konw dick about it...im ballin on a budget and would like to get it fixed cause other then bein a ****** geyser it runs ****** mint

It probably wouldnt hurt to try in get it weld and if that doesnt work then get a motor

grind the cracks out to a v shape make sure is supa clean. thern take it to a aluminum welder. he wont guarantee it but it will be strong. come home and smear jb over the repaired area. It wont leak ive fixed many crank cases doin that and a few cylinders. when they weld the v it fills it in an makes it realy stron and usuall y water tight (MAKE SURE IS SUPER CLEAND THOU)

whoever though of the Idea "JB Weld" ought to be shot in the Face. That **** is Gabage.

I had a 95 Gix 750 Old Skool that had a fin 1-1/2" crack on the bottom end. JBWeld'd and held for another like 7 or 8 thou miles til i sold the bike.. **** could still be runnin out there somewhere Its all personal situations - at the time I just didnt have the $$ for another motor

look at the pic again.... see anything? Its a motor mount!! a little leverage being applied there, gotta be welded or it will break off again
