Bike wont run NEED HELP

Re: Bike wont run NEED HELP
im having a similar problem with my 06 but its cyl 4. what i did was switch both injectors, coil plug, and sparkplug from cyl 3 to number four to see if the problem stayed. it did so i swapped the harness, ecu, cdi box, and tip sensor from the other 06 636 i have and it didnt change anything. ive heard of this problem before and the things everybody told me to check were valves and valve clearances. your bike will run hit or miss if you have a valve with 0.0 but will inadvertaintly drop on a smooth idle. also, you can pull the valve cover and see if you have a valve sticking for any reason... hope thats some kinda help man, im still dickin with mine

No Im not getting any spark to any cyclinder and it doesnt sound like my fuel pump is turning on, I think it may be the tip over sensor now I found out they are very easy to break. I took it apart and duct taped the weight in place an mechanic friend of mine thinks thats the problem

Re: Bike wont run NEED HELP
I tried jumpering it and there was no change, but a mechanic friend of mine said if you jumper it the bike will only run for a couple seconds. all you need to do is take the weight out of them on the Kawis.

Re: Bike wont run NEED HELP
it could be your ignition to, if the fuel pump is not comin on and your not gettin spark it could be the resistor thing in the key switch, mine burnt out last year and it took all kinds work to figure it out

Re: Bike wont run NEED HELP
Very good advice. He's absolutely right. I recently had this problem with my F4i, but I had ran a toggle switch with a resisted connected to the signal wire and from shoving it btw the frame and air box I broke the resister and the bike did exactly what yours is doing. I just didn't think of that for you because I didn't know that they also just burnout on their own. Try a def. Ignition from a friend or use a volt meter to see if when the ignition is on there should be 3 wires with 12 + volts and the 4th wire should have less, like 9 to 10 volts.

Good ****! I'm happy to hear you got the bike running. I'm sure it was driving you crazy and once you heard her fire up it's like busting a nut. I know that feeling all to well.
