Re: "Does it wheelie?" RC Bikes

They're one of the hardest RC vehicle to "drive". Helicoptors are a piece of cake compared to Nitro RC Motorcycles. And, like most RC units, crashes occur often and are expensive.

Very cool though. I've seen stoppies done too.

Easy than a helicoptor? I'd have to disagree . Ive been flying heli for about 5 months now. I got a mini axe CP and Id have to say it had a very slow learning curve. but once you could hover real nice at 6' you could go up as high as you wanted to. Im just now getting into big full sweeping circles. I got a mini cam for it to get footage next summer. But the bike I got came with training wheels and wasn't to hard to drive.I actually got my first one when I was like 10 and never had a problem. harder than a car yes. but not a heli.thats hard.

i HIGHLY doubt that. i have been into rc cars for the last 6 years. so far, of all the bikes i have seen, not a single one has front brakes. they all use the electric motor as a brake, or have a small servo that rotates activating a rear brake.

and the nitro ones are a bitch. i havent owned any of the motorcycles, but i have had more than a few nitro cars/monster trucks. those little nitro engines are a bitch to tune. and the fuel is currently 33 bucks a gallon for 20% nitro here(20% is the normal).

There is an attachment for the 1/5 scale Thunder Tiger bikes for front disc brakes. I don;t remember where I saw it but it does exist.

Nitro is a bitch but the scream is awesome when it's tuned right.

My dad has a hobby shop and most everybody has gone to Brushless electric motors and Lithium batteries. They last longer than a tank of nitro and the engines turn about 80,000 rpm on some models. Way more performance than nitro but almost completely silent.

Electric motors are the performance of the future IMO.
