'08 CBR 600RR Idle Help

Alright, My buddy has a fully stunted out '08 that he just ordered an Idle cable for. He put the idle cable in, and it worked fine when adjusting it as the bike was running. As soon as he got on and gave it throttle with the idle set above 2500 rpm, it would stick at 5000rpm, and then slowly come down.

Why is this?

If anyone can help us out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Very respectfully,
Buz

yea, it worked fine after i unplugged the sensor. engine brake seemed less intense too. i think it defeats the rev limiter when you unplug the sensor FYI.

900RR or 600RR. 900RR cable is cool because the 600RR cable you have to cut down the un threaded portion before you pop it in.
