what color wires do i connect so i can start it in gear

should have added that to your mile long list for me to do before you left.

 

twist the clutch lever sensor wires together so the bike thinks the clutch is always pulled in... dont have an 05/06 in the shop to see what colors that is but im sure there is one down there you can look at... sorry couldnt help more buddy

on the 03-04 i have mine done on the right side of the bike where the headlight harness is. i will fix it for you tomm or thursday

I believe they are black/red and black/white but im not 100%. Ill check it out here in a few minutes.

I think what you are looking for is a singlr wire on the stator side coming out of the transmission to tell the computer that you are in neutral. If you unplug and ground this wire it will start in gear. Works on the 03-04 also
