Re: gearing

ive riden wit a gps (which is only two miles an hour off) an ive gotten it to read 178 easy on my 06 600. 200 is bullshit but yes ive done 180 on mine before. also got a zx14 here wit a speedo thats set to be accurate as possible (from gps an car the lil laser thing the city puts up on ur street to tell u if ur speedin) lol we took alot of time in this cuz the cops hate us an try to get us for speedin three miles over. long story short ive gotten mine to 178 wit stock gear maybe cuz im small an jus layed down for less wind but the speedo on my bike was readin like 199 though i was excited but he told me i was hittin 178 177 back an fourth it had nothin left it was on the limiter an jumpin

you realize that those have cameras in them, right? after you pass, it snaps a picture of your plate. i have been fucked by those more than a few times. luckily, it doesnt count as points on my license because there isnt any proof i was driving. i am just responsible for the fines.

I know fzr's in particular read their speed off the front wheel

I don't think anyone is doubting a bike will do 165.

But you specifically, if your saying your GAUGES read 160mph, then you were NOT doing 160, you were doing MAYBE 140-150mph at BEST.

I've had my f4i hit 172 a LOT, even street fightered... Yet I know im really hitting around 150ish

we have those too. i have a total of 37 tickets in my truck from one red light camera. havent had to pay a single one of them either. the camera snaps 3 pictures, and it actually shows me making a right hand turn(turn on red is allowed). i make them look at the pictures, they let me go free of charge. you would think they would stop trying to ticket me

Re: gearing

I have a 97 Bandit with a 2007 gsxr70 motor in it.... I got a V4 speedohealer...and calibrated it using a gps.... the speedo read 73 while the actual speed read 60 mph....now its calibrated....imagine the difference at high speeds....My buddy got it to 130 and said it probably would have been 150-160 on an uncalibrated setup!....Also they just tried to brake 200 with a mostly stock busa in superstreetbike mag and couldnt....hmmmmmm
