possible stolen bike

I purchased at 2006 636 from a buddy of mine, he's on this forum but I'll keep his name private for now. I left it at his house until I could get brakes put on the bike so I could ride it home. I now found out he was kicked out of the house he was living at and took the bike with him. I've been trying to reach him for about 5 days now and I can't get ahold of him. If anyone comes across a 06 636 with the special edition colors, silver with red tribal graphics, please let me know. I'm in Springfield MO. The bike has the fairings cut with no front fender and the tank is dented, also has a muzzy slip on. I'll try and upload a pic of the bike.

If he got kicked out of his house he may have more important things on his mind. How have you tried to contact him??

Re: possible stolen bike

I've tried calling and texting, his roommates at the house he was living at have no idea where he would be. I have a bill of sale for the bike and thats it. The title was in the process of being put in my name but I don't think he ever went to the dmv to have it switched over. I was out of town for a week is also why the bike was left there. We maintained contact the whole time I was out of town then when I got back in town he quit texting back and wouldn't answer the phone.

Re: possible stolen bike

A Bill of Sales is enough. Although you should have taken the Title as you don't need him to do anything other then sign it away. Report it Stolen. Once the Cops pick him up, you can get it all sorted out.

Re: possible stolen bike

his name on here is Sillyking. I've known him for about 5 years now. He couldn't sign the title over to me because he had to get the title in his name first. Because he never rode it on the street he never bothered to get the title in his name. There's no front fender because it was taken off, along with the the front fairing, and half of the side fairings.

He made you a bill of sale for a bike he don't own, left with your money and the bike

You got screwed
