gear

when I used to have my f4i, I was just one down infront. That treated me pretty good, plus 2nd gear was real nice to pull up.

Yeah, she's got a point to. If you stay in second you can't speed too much. Sometimes you hit a bobble or something and dip the front in down. If your in a higher gear you keep gaining speed, and having to slow it way back down. If you stay in second, you either keep it slower or tap out on limiter (just don't tap out in middle of a turn it can lead to nasty headshakes TRUST ME!). Only reason you would need to get out of second is just to drop the revs

I heard that!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd gear gets you too far over 100mph..........so 2nd will suffice, and try to hold it at 70mph if you can. I'm almost there.

What up Laura..........????

I got me a new stunna piece.....'00 GSX-R 750....no plastics, just a headlight and tank. I love it already, I can wheelie the hell out of that thing..........I'm going on 1 mile or more(sitdowns or standups)

Im doin 3rd gears now because of the way my bike is geared, stock gearing 2nd gears were no problem at 60 but now 2nd gears are better for 20-30 mph wheelies, my 3rd gears now like my second was, picking up too much speed isnt a real problem but its more about finding the balance point anyways right? I mean if you cant find the balance point then you end up rapping the rpms out anyways because you are powering the wheelie out to keep the front end up, and by that time you are already up to or over 100 in 2nd anyways, unfortunately for me I have not found my balance point but I must say the 3rd gears for me are much smoother and that front wheel gets higher and higher and the wheelies get longer and longer! happy wheelieing!
