Re: 2nd fan help

I saw the post about the cage but I went a different route, I have my entire cooling system stock with another fan wired directly to a switch. If you look I just took the stock F4I fan and flipped it and used Auto Zone universal mounts for the cooling fans. If you wire both of the fans at the same time your going to put a strain on the recharging system and kill the battery. I was doing this prior and now I can run cool all the time with short spirts from the extra fan and recharge at the same time. Should work the same on a 636, Engine Ice is great also!

I had that happen in the past. Its best just to build a cage for the fan. It's not that hard to do.

Re: 2nd fan help

im getting 2 636s in a week or so ill be making the cage with the second fan mount.when you put a second fan on you will want a cage with it cause the extra weight will cause havoc on the tabs. if your interested just hit me up

ive personally never seen had a problem or seen negative things happen when tapping into the lighting circuit. ive been using the running light to power my fan since 02 and have never had a problem

only statement in that post that made any sense... good suggestion

it is a fact that if you

1) COMPLETELY drain your coolant system
2) run %100 engine ice
3) wire your fan so it runs constantly

your 636 wont overheat unless your doing alot of bunouts and/or are on the revlimiter excessively

Re: 2nd fan help

I've found that after a little riding just go for a little cruise and that will cool it off. I haven't had any problems with my bike overheating. It runs about 210.
