We finished the 05-06 636 subframe, but havent decided on aluminum or steel. I think we might offer both. Steel bieng a more affordable option. Whats your guys ?

Re: SI Subframes Steel Or Aluminum?????

just go with both, and id do them more to order. if someone wants steel, then make up a steel. and as demand rises, make more to keep them in stock.

Do a small run of each. Go with whatever sells better.

Re: SI Subframes Steel Or Aluminum?????

i think aluminum might be a better idea, and just change the design. stronger than stock..... too strong and instead of folding subframes, you rip the ears off the frame itself.

Re: SI Subframes Steel Or Aluminum?????

I think you should just make a 06 gsxr 600 steel subframe that replaces the stock one perfectly! You guys would bank off that sub

no one will be happy and bad mouth you and or bandwagon jump on anyone who put a product up on this website.

so the answer is, just make what every you want. . . if they buy it good, if they dont good.

opinions are like ********, everyone has them and they all stink.

Re: SI Subframes Steel Or Aluminum?????

it should not be a problem to make strong aluminium subframes so I would say aluminium because they will be way lighter than steel subs.
just keep the price affordable but that might be difficult.

Re: SI Subframes Steel Or Aluminum?????

Some people are going to prefer aluminum, some will rather save money and go with steel....Whatever you make if the design is good you will sell, but if you make both your going to dominate the market...

You can get a steel stay for $150 or even less nowadays, but people are still buying my $250 TIG welded aluminum stays...
