GP tech adapters have this problem because they are only held in by the factory circlip... Get a FTI (FullThrottleInc.net) SCREW IN adapter and you will never have these problems again... bonus is that all you need is the adapter, all of your lines ETC will work with it... oh and make sure you are using a quality, stunt tested/approved master like a 600/1000RR or R1 or brembo...

As far as I know, all the adaptor kits have this problem. You can't use the fb and hb at the same time. It just doesn't work. You are better off having a hb system and a fb system. You get more fluid capacity and if one quits the other one still works.

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts
yeah I have a few of those GP tech hand brake kits. They are only 13 mm and are a biatch to bleed. Its actually a 13mm basic brembo hand brake under that GP tech clutch cap he made. Go online....look up HOheydesigns.....buuy his dual caliper bracket. I switched all my stunt bikes to dual calipers. I have four dual caliper setups. Yes it may be a little more than you wanted to spend and its a pain tryin to find another caliper but toally worth it. The caliper brackets are perfectly machine cut so you never have a caliper draggin its brakes or off from the other. Never had any problems with them....check it out
the gp tech adapter was a good design in that it does not destroy the master trying to force threads into it but the hole on the bottom of the adapter (supply port) was way too small and the neck of the adapter was too long in that it almost sat against the bottom letting very little brake fluid flow/ pass through. It almost cuts off flow through he adapter. Thats also why at time you get air caught in the adapter result int a larger threashold/lag between the footbrake and the handbrake. Its a biatch to get right....

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts
I have a gp tech and I dont have that problem. In fact I have the gp tech knockoff on my other bike, and it doesnt have that problem either.
Get a nice radial master, and do a better job bleeding it.

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts
i dont think bleeding it ne better will help the level is stiff as a rock it grabs hard as hell until it goes ne where near 12 then it just wont bring the bike back down i think ill just have to get the dual setup but i do likr the brembo and the gp tech clucth level that mounts on it ive got more room plus thats wat im learning with and im used to it

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts
I had the same setup with a old gsxr master and it worked fine. You just couldnt use hb and fb at the same time, but thats to be expected. You need to bleed it better.
