It is really helpful if you stick with it. PT has been a blessing for me.

How often do you buckle? Do you hear a popping sound in your knee? If you hear a popping sound, you definitely tore something. The buckling could just get weakness in your knee from the sprain. But a 'pop' definitely leads towards a bigger problem.

Re: knee pains/problems

google .... osteo bi-flex triple strength > I use it for other reasons then riding but try it out for a month and see if it helps you. read some reviews it is not gonna cure anything but I can tell when I ran out for like 2 weeks after using it for like 8 months it definetly helped.. Yes and norco or vicodin in super small amounts help a little and hopefully you wont become strung out like a crack hooker

Re: knee pains/problems

there is plain and simple NO subsitute for physical therapy....however, glucosamine has helped a number of people with joint stiffness/pain....my physical therapists said they can't prove much medically with glucosamine being a magical drug, but definately urged me to try it....the way i looked at it was pretty simple....it CAN'T hurt! but yeah, physical therapy is definately not something to skip out on...i treated that **** like religion/job and i would say it worked out pretty good.

Re: knee pains/problems

a few years ago my bike cut off in a frogger, went straight to my knees on the fall, didnt break nothing but they hurt for a year straight. i tried glucosimine and it helped a little but i didnt stick with it long. i suffered thru a little of pain but it eventually healed and stopped hurting.

now i just need to stop hurting my ankles and feet. lol

Re: knee pains/problems

i have shitty knees in general from playing ice hockey my whole life alot it of comes from lateral movements (side to side) movements your doing this alot more then you think especialy jumping all ova the bike i found these and my knees dont hurt at all anymore

http://www.haibikeshop.com/index.php...oducts_id=1878

and yes you still have alot of movement in them they arent like a big bulky motorcross knee brace its a knee pad/brace all in one

Re: knee pains/problems

Man the **** up. I haven't gone a day in 5 years without back pain and i dislocated my left knee 3 years ago an it never healed. Pain medicine is for the weak minded. I also shattered my left wrist and now it is at 100% no meds required. Here's my way around it, imagine the pain isn't there and it won't be. Or you could drink alot. good luck with the knees

First time back in 06 I highsided an straightlined burnout and my knee took that blow. Surgered in jan07. This summer i mousetrapped highchair(just like guru did in ROC08, and just walked away ) and my knee was on the line again. Now it was surgered 5weeks ago and that picture is day after the surgery. Now it feels pretty good, next week i'll start physical therapy and gym This time I'll make sure it wont happen again. Next season will be with asterisks:
