Go find a complete front end off any other kawi (636 zx10) have the steering stems pressed out of the lower triples and put the 250 stem in the new f.e.'s lower triple....

install f.e.
You now have good brakes and real forks

wurd, since the forks are longer you could probally poke them through the upper triple and run clip ons ontop.

How do u guys like the new 08'+ compared to the older models?

And are the 03/04 forks a good idea? maybe because theres less weight in them

seeing them on the showroom looks like there wasn't anything changed but the plastics/appearance. The forks appear to be the same as the old models so basically the diameter of a mountain bike.

Nice so just like doin stoppies on a huffy

Thats whack tho...the new ones are supposedly 30 lbs heavier...given that still gives a claimed overall dry weight of 333lbs or something lol.

Re: 08 ninja 250's

i had a 07 when i was 15 and loved it. it doesnt have the looks of the 08 but its faster and handles better. somebody on here stunts a gs500 and honestly i think the ninja 250 is better bike than gs500.

Re: 08 ninja 250's

the 08' 250R is the only one I would even consider rocking full fairing...the rest would be down to bare bones and murdered out...

If I can find a 250R for cheaper than a scooter Im probally gonna pick it up.

Im surprised they are not MORE common...theyre cheap and theyre light...

For the streets would i want one? **** no...but for a lot only practice piece **** yea why not?!

Parts are all over the place for cheap as ****, and the bike itself can range as low as $500.

in my opinion they are half gay

they are a wanna be sport bike

they are light and EASY as cake to ride like a dirt bike, yet they look like a street bike so people think they are hot **** when they can stunt one

I think they are fun to play around on, but they are about as cool as stunting a moped or dirt bike in my opinion

Meh I see what your saying...but again I dont see why they arent more common? cheap and easy, makes sense as a practice beater or stepping stone.

I really consider them a scooter

Im with this guy.....so its not cool to Stunt a 250? But its cool to rock a 50!?!?!? Nobody rides 50's out in the street. Put your EGO aside and who gives a ****. If it makes you feel better just make sure you tell everyone you gotta 600 or 1000 just to let them know this is only your stunt piece if your that self conscious about it. ITS ABOUT THE SPORT ANYWAY!!

Re: 08 ninja 250's

The 250 ninja's a just good CHEAP fun, buy one salvage for about $1000, destroy it and part it out for $1200. Can't beat that. The 08 ninja is the same as the last million years ninja 250's, just different body and slight updates, the front end is still the same wooden junk. Basically they are just good, cheap trainers. Don't look for no cop killers here.
