What does balance point feel like?

What does balance point feel like?
I can bring the front up with no problem, but I always rev out my wheelies. Sometimes when I bring it up, I get a weightless feeling, but it feels like I'm so far backwards that It feels like I'm about to loop so I drop it down and start again.
I know at balance revs and speed remain constant for the most part, but what else should I look for to know that I'm at that spot? How do I know I'm there?
Thanks in advance.
