I was riding last weekend and my bike wouldn't start after i laid down a wheelie. so i ripped it apart tonight and found that the wire you cross for power to the pump [tip over sensor].has no power.
does anyone have a idea what it could be... ....

check all the terminals on the ecm connectors, make sure a terminal didnt back out... its funny ive seen the fuel pump wire just fall out of the ecm connector.. actually seen this on 3 f4i's

Re: F4i Fuel Pump Problem.
He had his wires tight, but for some damn reason it was the fuel pump wire specifically that pulled out

Re: F4i Fuel Pump Problem.
ive seen on 2 f4i's so far that a pink wire coming outta the ignition just seemed to fall out of the connector and thats the wire with the inline resistor that powers the ecm and without that plugged in will not allow the fuel pump to kick on.

Re: F4i Fuel Pump Problem.
Ok i checked all that you said to check and it came to be a bad relays in the tail section .Under the tail I think it was bad for a while cause my bike would want to die out sometime in the middle of a wheelie or just coming down from one.. I would think that it would just go out but that's not the case..
Thanks for the helping hands.......
