XDL on Motorcycle.com!
http://www.motorcycle.com/events/200...ach-87570.html
Check it out! Motorcycle.com has been doing sick write ups on the XDL series all year. This just goes to show that we are a sport and deserve to be reconized. A big thanks goes out to the whole XDL staff and of course sites like Motorcycle.com for giving us the reconigtion I know this sport truly deserves. Its been a long year not only for the riders but also for XDL and its staff. This year was meant to test out how a competition series within our sport would withhold and I think that with the season being all wrapped we couldnt have asked for a better year. The 2009 season will be even better and will hopefully bring Street Freestyle into a whole new light!
Even with my injury just after the 1st rounds of both series I still managed to tough it out and make it to every event. Whether it was to compete or just simply to help out and show my support I wanted to be there to see it all come to life. This year was amazing. The level of riding has really gone through the roof thanks to all the competitions that were held this year. I saw wheelies using a foot for the throttle, I saw backwards wheelies on a daily basis, I saw riders work their asses off just to showcase new tricks at each and every comp. If that doesnt say sport I dont know what does. Street Freestyle is here to stay and for those who said this would never go anywhere well guess what? It just did and I guarantee that every year from here on out will only get that much better and that much bigger.
Much love to all those who support the sport and all those who put in the hard work and dedication practicing and driving to these comps to compete!
Congrats to my teammate Nick Brocha on an amazing year! You deserve it buddy! Way to bring it home to the DS camp!
And to the whole Death Squad team, Nick, Lin, Shin! Nothing but love. Your my boys for life! 2009 will be even better. FRESH TO DEATH!

Wow, congrats Ernie and everyone who competed! I remember sitting in Manny's garage (damn, a looong time ago) helping get an OM website started, but I suck at web design so I don't think I was much help! I never even considered the sport would see this much success! Congratulations to everyone involved!

That is awesome, that motorcycle.com is treating stuntriding as a real mainstream sport. I always have hoped that stunting would get the recognition it deserves, and it seems its finally starting to. Ive been stunting since around 2000, I have practiced each year, but not consistently, I wish I had more time and money, I would travel to all the XDL series for sure!
So I give everyone who makes it out to these events , consistantly and any other comps etc., Mad props! Nice writeup Ernie, It was cool meeting you and everyone else at the Indy XDL, keep at it bro and never give up!
