Re: SI Subframes!

Ok can you tell me what is difference between steel and aluminum..I know steel weights more and stronger than aluminum but If you went into hard crash and steel won't be able to bend back into right shape.

I'd rather to get aluminum over steel cuz aluminum can bend & back into same shape or whatnot ..If I'm not mistaken.

Very minor differences. We might try to make one subframe fit both. It shouldnt be a problem to do so.

Aluminum will snap before it bends. **** is real Brittle... Ever Try bending a lever back into place?

Steel Can be heated and bent. I ahve had ZERO luck with alum.

Yeah... Ive been riding on it for a month now... well when I can... Mostly trips only scrapped it once... It is holding up good though... I still dont have the passenger seat quite right... It works but I dont want to sell cobbled up ****... I want it to be able to work just like an OEM subframe before I sell to anyone. I can get you some pics tomorrow if you would like. The First part of it is . Just cant seem to get the back part right(no Bender btw) all I have is a welder and an Angle Grinder. Kind workin like the dude who invented the Thong. Not enough material but still made a beautiful thang!
