Re: 929/954 ??

Nags you could be correct on length... I know they are interchangeable though, which I believe is the question at hand when building a sub cage....

Going outside to look at both bikes now...

Well if he's trying to put them in the stock location and the lengths are different it might make a difference

Not consistent with the years they were produced, ronayers is wrong.

Re: 929/954 ??

sounds like Honda superceded the frame. (like all OEMs do sometimes) I wouldn't be suprised if the later 929's shared w/ the 954.... I don't know this though

exactly. If someone could measure the width of the tabs ( front hole on left side to front hole on right side, and back holes the same way), then measure from where the subframe bolts to the main frame back to the peg bracket tabs that would be super. We have a subcage ready for the 929's, but not sure if they will fit the 954's. Thanks guys.

But for real, it's been so long since i've had my 929. I think i used 954 rear brackets/pegs before.

Re: 929/954 ??

subframes are different, but pegs and brackets are the same and interchangeable, I know it because I run 929 pegs and brackets on my 954!!!

the only small difference is the exhaust mount on the right bracket, the angle is a lil bit different but I solved it with some washers, but maybe it´s the mounting tab on my exhaust that might be bend and that´s where the difference comes from.

most def! the 2000 929 and the 2002 954 were completely different breeds of bike........ the only parts that were interchangeable were the tires, turn signals and clutch lever.

Even the motor.

The subframe just happens to be one of the things that is not.

That's your best bet. Where the sub is different, the subcage might not fit even though the pegs and hangers are interchangeable.
