Re: clip-ons

I have flipped clip ons. Never had a problem with comfort. Takes about a day to get used to but after that I was fine with them. I feel weird putting my hands on stock bars now.

Re: clip-ons

if you had 50 mm forks like a 929 you could put 636 clipons on there , the bar on the 636 clipons come out of the middle of the fork tube instead of in front like yours....

Re: clip-ons

929 forks are longer then the 954 so go with the 929 , ho hey tripple and flipped 636 clipons

that way you can have the bike at stock height

ghey, you still won't practice stoppies. You didn't when you had a butter front end 636.

929 and 954 forks are the same length. They actually use the same outter and inner fork tubes. On my 929 i actually had to use a 954 fork temporarily when i wasted my front end. so i had left 929 and right 954. The internals are ever slightly different though so i ended up swapping out for a full 954 front end because i found one for cheap.

i could have sworn the 954 was shorter ..maybe it's the amount of travel ...

i know there is a difference because we were at the spot one night looking at a pair side by side but it may have been the distance between the outer fork tube and the leg of the fork ...i don't remeber for sure ..

I'm not sure, but i know they fit just fine together. Honda really didn't make many changes to the forks for the 954 other than the adjusters on top, valving, and stem bearings. They marketed them as "improved 48mm showa suspension" and not new suspension so i never thought twice about interchanging them.

why does it always have to be about who beats who since i haven't had a decent front end on a bike in 3 years. On the 929 before i wadded it up i was doing 300 foot. not great but better than the parking lot garbage we do now.

The fact is, no matter how awsome of suspension you put on you know your *** is going to do nothing but ghey seat stander lot bullshit.

Re: clip-ons

you are the one that gave up riding, so that was my point! why do you even still own a stuntbike? sell it, because it just sits there all the time, and dont be a dick just because you lost the passion to ride in the lot! if you want to go **** up the streets, go ahead, but i will stick to the lot.
