Re: 600rr swingarm on f4i

My friend did it amd loved it for just normal riding and occasional wheelies, i would be interested in knowing how well it works since i have an f4i and a 03 04 600rr swing arm laying around.

be aware the swingarms from 05 are different and supposedly better.

Re: 600rr swingarm on f4i

damn, maybe ill do this in the near future just looked in the shop and found a shock, rr wheel, and obviously the swing arm. The shock is from an 05rr I hope its the same.

I would do this for the simple fact to be able to use spools instead of the other ****.

Re: 600rr swingarm on f4i

what parts are needed to make the conversion? I dont see the point personally... but swing arms and shock are always cheap on ebay...... I'd do the conversion just to say I got it! LOL

I completed the conversion...

I did it because I liked the way it looked. These are the parts I used...
1. 03-04 600rr Swingarm (w/ suspension linkage)
2. 03-04 600rr Rear Caliper
3. 03-04 600rr Caliper Mounting Bracket
4. 03-04 600rr Rear Brake Line
5. 03-04 600rr Chain Guard (optional)
6. 1000rr Rear Shock
7. 3/8" Bolt - 6" Long
8. 3/8" Lcok Nut (w/ Locktite)
9. Custom machined spacers/sleeves

I found the information for the conversion at the following link. http://cbrworld.net/forums/1/176286/...ad.aspx#176286

This is how mine ended up looking.

Re: 600rr swingarm on f4i

i read a similar article and i cant remember where. this will extend the wheelbase of your f4i by a long shot. = shitty wheelies
it seems the only reason people do this mod is for racing.
i would seriously not recommend it. the f4i in itself is a superior stunt machine. dont **** with it!!!!!

Nah. I just cut it down to 12" and pained it. It was polished and I was tired of keeping it clean. I used hi-temp semi-gloss black paint and sprayed it.

What's the best way to measure wheelbase? Axle to axle? I have a stock F4i and my modded F4i. If you are interested I can measure both an post up the difference so we can see how much difference it made.

Thanks. I hung the pipe and sprayed the around the side, then I used a rag covered in B-12 to wipe off the overspray on the end before it dried.
