In manhattan, I always see vespa's and ducati's with the plate taken off.
Meter maids and cops usually are too lazy to go searching for the vin# on the bike to write a ticket.
What are you getting tickets for?

got my bike back from the precint woooohhooooo ftp got my **** out no fines no nothing!!!!!!!! fixing the damage need a rearset and peg so whole set up exept for the foot brake anyone have let me know... back in action in a few days......

****. I JB Welded the crack twice earlier. Went out to start the bitch up and its also leaking from the JB Weld job done months ago. So Joey1 you were right that it was leaking from there but it was also cracked 
So I just JB Welded over the JBW from last time and Ima put one more layer on and pray. If its still leaking then I gotta do a motor swap ****** skanks.

word - i put the 2nd layer of jb so i'll start it tomorrow morning and keep my fingers crossed. i put on a **** load of jb weld so hopefully it'll be good

been getting tickets for different reasons, one for not having the inspection sticker (which i had no idea about, i just moved to nyc), another one for parking in a no parking zone, and another one for parking in a parking zone during some odd hours that are not allowed. i mean it's ridiculous.
i'm thinking of taking the plate off, and taking my chances with the towing, i think these cops are gonna be too lazy to go through that process and preffer to just move on to the next vehicle.

I think you'll be fine with taking the plate off and parking it on the sidewalk with a kryptonite to a light pole.

yeah, inspection is a must in nyc. I think you're just better off taking the plate off or just putting a plate on there with inspection a parking it in the correct place. not to sound like a dick or anything, but no one is really looking to steal a 250. Everyone out there is jacking a f4i or 636 or 929.

no offense at all, good news for me if nobody wants to steal my bike!
does parking in the sidewalk make the situation even worse? I mean I was thinking of parking in a muni-meter zone, and just take the plate off. But parking it on the sidewalk I'm not sure about.
