My MacBook took a colassal **** on my life about 3 years ago. I lost all my writing, photos, files, etc when one day it just decided to loose everything. I took it to some jackasses to have them try and 'retrieve' the data, no luck -and I was out $300, all my personal data from over the years and a laptop. Needless to say I still have violent urges everytime I pass a Mac store and I enjoy a Raid set up on my PC now

Say you have two identical 500gb hard drives. When you do a RAID 1 setup with them, you will only see a single 500gb hard drive in your OS. Behind the scenes, as you modify files, the changes are mirrored across both drives. That way, if you ever have a single drive crash, you always have an exact copy of it available.

There are a lot of RAID variations, but Leah and I both run RAID 1 setups.
Say you have two identical 500gb hard drives. When you do a RAID 1 setup with them, you will only see a single 500gb hard drive in your OS. I was trying to set it up a while ago when I was going to grab that motor but it kept raining. Once I get back we'll try and work it out with Alie and Gil & whoever else. Maybe get smokey and Julio to come out one last time if they dont sell their bikes by then

I just fixed mine I like my MAC but I cant figure out how to do what I need to do right now which sucks I thought it wouldnt be so difficult. Had I known I wouldnt have waited til the last minute
