Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses

Neil chino is right calipers dont go bad, all a caliper is is a machined block of aluminum a few pistons and couple rubber seals you can always rebuild it. Air pressure to remove pistons, pick to remove rubber o Rings clean the **** out...... and replace. usually a locked caliper is due to pushing brake dust back into the rubber piston seals during pad replacement. thats why you should alwayz clean the pistons before ramming them back into the caliper.

I Cut pieces out of that beat tire b/c regular rubber dont work for cage mounts, the race rails just cuts right thru solid rubber when i got down.. but the tire has nylon threads and holds up real nice. i cant even take credit for the idea either.. thats all TY STREETS right there.

okay so they dont go bad but you do gotta rebuild them. i had a caliper freeze up on me before. do i gotta buy a rbuild kit with new rubber seals tho i never rebuilt a caliper before. ima do a search online but if i gotsta buy a rebuild kit with seals and whatever else, im probably better off just buying some calipers for $30 a pair for the f4i jumpoffs even though i wanted the 929/54 coz they're gold

Im not selling it yet but you got first dibs on it. I wanna ride with the new bracket first and make sure I like it before selling. I dont see myself not liking it so I'll pm you a price in a second for when Im ready to sell it - probably after this weekend coming up.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses

Yo Trix - these are the pads I just took out from my calipers. You can see what I was talkin about the other day. Ride with them for a week or two and it will show you where you have to dremel down. Take some white out tape and put a line seperating what needs to be grinded down and do work son.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses

yea i guess buying new would be easier for you, i usualy dont even replace the seals you just gata take them out nice n gently.

as for the lip on thos pads youd think when u buy a real deal bracket that would place the ******* caliper in the right spot.... thats just stupidity i get a tiny tiny lip on the bracket i made myself, i just use a grinder to take it off half way thru the pad life. but a bracket you paid for ... wtf

you cant avoid getting the lip with a 4 piston on a rear rotor. if you were to move the caliper closer to the center, it would hit the spokes on the rim like mine did
