worked on this **** for another hour this morning. drilled my tabs to 9/16, big enough to fit the oem grommets.

Ride it first. You don't know what you'll break yet. You're going to be getting used to a new bike so it'll hit the ground more than normal.

i say wait at least till winter . you are known for killing bikes. why coat it when u might break it just adjusting to it .... kawi's arent honda's and u managed to kill a honda .

as to lookin clapped out .... whats so different then your current bike ??? you delt with the f4i lookin like crap this long .... just wait till winter , a pretty bike wont make u ride any better . honestly it will prob make you progress slower since u will be more worried about messin it up.

but on a serious note....you really cant **** up anything on a bike that can be powdered. its not like its plastics.
even you neal. like if you total a frame then you total a frame.
powdered and no fairing and it will look good for awhile if you know what im saying.
