Dont resign. Let them fire you and you'll be eligible for unemployment. Only way you wont get unemployment is if you're paid 1099 which I doubt you are

We dont deal in stolen goods here lol. But yeah about 3k before stunt parts. Figure I could sell the plastics for a few hundred, sell my bike for 2k, motor for 500, and some other misc parts for a few hundo more so I'll get the bike for free pretty much and have to spend a G on stunt parts maybe a little more.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses

I don't know who. I'm loud and very blunt with opinions, so maybe I offended somebody... but someone in upstairs management has a hard on for me. Neal, I can't let them fire me, if they fire me not only will have a black mark on my resume that will automatically disqualify me for any other jobs, but I still won't get unemployment. They're firing me due to excessive days in the last month, which is bullshit. I had the flu for a week, and the Staten Island Railroad was shut down on two different occasions due to the blizzards we had, so I physically could not make it into work. There's someone in this office that's late 4 out of 5 days a week and calls out once a week and nobody says a peep to her. It's absolutely a case of me being singled out. If I resign, I could find a job elsewhere and it will not look bad on my resume me. If I refuse to resign, and fight it with my union, although they should not be able to fire me for a few latenesses and a few absences(**** 90% of this building has far worse records than me, it's a very lax environment), it will be a long and hard fought battle that I'll lose. I really have no other option here.

List someone as a reference that you're cool with to verify your employment for the next job. And no matter what went down - you'll qualify for unemployment. I had a bitch work for me for 2 days - she quit and said that I told her it was a salaried job - I provided proof that the ads showed its commissions only - didnt matter - the state gave her unemployment. As long as you get deductions taken outta your check, you will qualify pretty much

Have you ever watched how I pick my bike up? Learn that trick, it requires almost no effort.

So what do I say when I go to the unemployment office? Honestly I've hated working here forever and I feel I'm capable of doing much more and that this place has been holding me back. I could also make way more money working for a private company rather than the city. I've kinda been looking around half assed for something else, but getting thrown out of here with absolutely no back up job or unemployment would **** me. Honestly the thought of getting married, getting in shape, joining the marines, and getting the **** out of here was on my mind for a good 5 hours last night. I'd take the signing bonus, pay my debts and bills and bounce. The mlitary would provide a house for wifey to live in on base and whatnot and we'd be good. Without unemployment my only 2 options would really be the service, or to get old tone out the closet and do my thing. He's been stuffed in there for 6 years now.

If I qualify for unemployment though, leaving here would probably be the best thing that happened to me. I'd take a month or so off and just ride. One of my supervisors is cool and I can use him as a reference, and if unemployment contacts him it'd be cool. Really he and everyone else in this office is in shock, it came out of nowhere. They're using bullshit excuses to get rid of me but there's clearly an ulterior motive here. I never had to file before, but how does it work? Do the call your supervisor? Should I say I was laid off even though they're saying I've been fired for excessive absences? Will they ask me questions about it?
