+1 i just got off the phone with ty ..... ground the wire ...... its the neutral switch . if u ground it you wont have to worry about the kickstand switch or clutch switch .....

I have mine ground at the main harness but either way we needed to take that whole group of wiring out coz it looked like this and was missing a plug that connected somewhere. I couldnt figure out what it connected to though coz the plug was completely ripped off.

It's pictures of a regular cab 1/2 ton and they are calling it an extended cab superduty. That's a major fuckup.

it definitely is. when i searched some strings from that ad, i found another ad from the same guy with the same exact text, for an old red f250 (reg cab) with the same type of work truck mods.

Yeah, I agree with that. I'm going to make mine like that too. I don't know how to weld but I have all the equipment thanks to my dad. My uncle is a welder so he's going to teach me how and he said this would be the perfect project for it.

When are you making yours? I am going to start on mine next weekend. If it works, I will make an extra one if you don't want to make your own. I'm going to use 3/4 steel.

Can anyone in NY tell me how buying a used car from a private owner works when it comes to picking it up from them? I've only leased cars before and the dealer takes car of the plates and registration before you even pick it up. Do I have to go to the DMV register and get insurance before I go pick up the truck? Is there any way to get temp plates or any **** like that? Obviously I can't go and buy the truck then leave it at his house til I can come back from the DMV with plates and get insurance. Since I don't have a car trailer, how would that work? Do I leave the guy some kind of deposit, go take care of insurance registration etc, then come back and pay him in full? I know I'd need the title to be signed over to me to register it at the DMV so leaving a deposit probably wouldn't work. If someone has experience buying used cars from non-dealers, chime in.

If you got a friend who's got dealer plates you can borrow his dealer plates (although you're not supposed to lol). But if you dont then you first get insurance - once you get the insurance you go register the car and they'll give you plates and a temp sticker to put on your window and you can drive the car/truck home.

Edit: you need the title to transfer into your name. You can give him a deposit if he's dumb enough to give you the title with just a deposit or you can pay in full to get the title and run to DMV to register it and transfer title. But first thing is get insurance - then go to DMV with insurance and title to register then transfer title. However you go about getting the title is up to you.

normally you go look at the truck. if you like it you leave him a deposit and tell him you're definitely buying it and go get your insurance. once you get the insurance you come back and pay in full to get the title and then go register and transfer title and go back and put the plates on to scoop up the truck and drive home. Or like you said - if you got a friend who's a dealer you can borrow his plates to drive the truck home.
