SI question

Re: SI question
Nope it's conclusive. You suck at life. It's not a coincidence you are the only one that ever starts a thread complaining about how inept you are and that you can't simply figure out how to put things together. Never mind the fact that hundreds have installed the same products without issue that you look at like a caveman holding a lighter. Give up.
Shut the f-up yu homo. If tyhis thing bolted up with no problem I would not be asking if anyone has had troubles before. Whatever the parts is not fitting and thats what it is. Say what you want.

Re: SI question
Mine didn't line up either and it was raping my fairing. I emailed Ian, he told me I just needed to dremel off that lip (I thought maybe it was supposed to clear it, no biggie). I haven't had a chance to yet, hopefully this weekend, but I doubt shaving that lip off will get the holes to line up right. It seems like the right side mount is tweaked, but if it is, I'll just run down to the local machinist and have him drill it out a bit and use a washer. Seems like a great product, just like all their other stuff
:
:
heres how to install..
1.take seat off....
2.put tail saver in the rear holes,to see where you have to sand off/cut off..on the lip..
3.cut the lip piece off.
4.put ts back on
5.put seat on( might be alil tight...but thats fine..
the seat tabs should go over the si tail saver tabs...
6.have a taco and soda
7...ride

Re: SI question
ZRide.... you've been a flaming hemorrhoid in everyone's *** since you joined up on SL. Your posts are wicked retarded, you bash companies that have very reputable products that have withstanding beating after beating, and you still are a Grade A squid on here.
As everyone else has said, your mechanical skills are far less than par, your brain power is even less than that, and it takes very little know how to install Ian's products. They fabricate their products on 100% STRAIGHT BIKES, so if your bike is the least bit tweaked it's going to go on fucked up. So instead of bitching on here, think OUTSIDE of the box, and try another approach at figuring out how to install a tail saver that my 4 year old niece could install.

Re: SI question
we all run SI products on our bikes.... 5 of us with cages and 12 bars.... i was the first to buy the stuff, so i was kinda flying blind.
It would be cool if the products did come with a single piece of paper with instructions on it. my handbrake adaptor (back before i went dual caliper zackie chan style), came with instructions. a photocopied set of instructions with a few pics would be great.... or better yet, it wouldnt take much for them to put a "How to" or "tech page" on their website.
other than that....ill say the products are great. only thing id like to see is the 636 cage beefed up a little bit. Install isnt too bad once you get the hang of it though.... prettywell straightforward. never had to call them back with a product that was the wrong one, or fucked from the factory, so ill still do business with them for sure....

Re: SI question
all good Mr. Farley, Outlaw, and the rest of the hate crew. At first the "si is great regardless of any problems you may have" approach and responses are frustrating. I have cut the "lip". I have tried everything. I am not trippin on you haters. As far as my mechanical abilities.....I laugh my *** off when I read your responses because I bet I am more mechanically incline than most...I have the bikes, education, customizations completed, and knowhow to back it up so you wanna keep hatin because of problems I have had with certain products then go ahead.

If you would have called Ian and let him know of the problems you are having I am sure he would have made it right.. Maybe just returned it? Or he could have told you exactly what u needed to do to fit it properly, but instead of talking to him about it u just get on here and start bashing SI?

Or "mod" this tail saver that doesn't work?
Btw when everyone "hates" on you, its for a good reason!
