Wheelie Stance
Im just starting to try for BP aand I was wondering should I sit down or ride staggered or what. Ive tried sitting and when it comes up, it feels wierd like Im too far back. I hit BP on a fwheeler today and I was riding staggered. But Im afraid when it comes down, Ill fall forward. Basically what is the best way to rise when learning BP? Any advice?

yeah there's a very small chance of going over the bars.. errr uh clip-ons.. lol. i actually used to race motocross and then bought a supermoto so i started sitting down.. but when i got a sport bike i started with doing staggered.

Re: Wheelie Stance
i would honestly say start with what you are comfortable with... this is going to sound weard but when i started riding i could do a spreader longer than a normal sitdown or staggered stand up.... lol
just stick to what you think feels rite.. till you get used to finding the balance point then start to branch out from there
good luck

Re: Wheelie Stance
i learned by staggered, it seemed to make me feel as if i had more control front to back wise...but i agree w everyone else, rock whatever feels comfortable ....and dont forget your brake control

Re: Wheelie Stance
That's crazy man cause for a while I didn't have any rear brakes on my ktm 250 and it never botherd me then I got my bike back from this shithole shop and the rear brakes worked when I took it there but when I got it back it had no brakes and the tank kept fallin off. don't ask. But like I said that's crazy because I've always been more cumfortable with a spreader too I'm gonna dent my tank so I can sit on it I just like doin spreaders I don't know why you really don't need back brakes when you lean forward she comes with you.
