keep trying. You dont need much to get a RR up. That bike will come up in third with no clutch. Dont be afraid of the throttle just have a lot of respect for it.

Mine comes up with bald tires with no problem. t Just practice and mess around at different RPMs.

My 97 has a Stage 1 kit, K&N, D&D pipe, and -1,+2 gearing, will come right up in 3rd, but not with the clutch, I have new springs and a clutch, just don't feel like puttin em in. If you don't wanna buy new springs, go down to your local Lowe's and get some washers the same size as the one's on your spring bolts and that will make the springs a little firmer, just make sure they are the correct size. It does wonders for those 2nd gear clutching attempts. And costs ya 25 cents for the washers. Just make sure you only put 1 on each springs, you don't wanna get coil bind, that would suck. If springs are your way, Barnett springs are lik 13 bucs.

Re: 900rr wheelies

just practice. the 9hundo is a monster once you learn to use the clutch.your probably dragging the clutch when you release it..i ave alot of experience with that bike and 4th on the seat with stock gears is an all day thing when i'm on the highway.just buy mine...it rides itself..lol

Re: 900rr wheelies

lol why must these old threads get dug up!
a good one though.
i borrowed my buddies 96 900rr with 1 down 2 up one day.
when it comes to the highway i have NEVER felt a bike so comfortable and
so smooth in a wheelie. a 900rr just feels so good on one wheel like it just floats and stays there.
