f4i idol mod and easy pull mod?

Re: f4i idol mod and easy pull mod?
go get a 900 rr idle screw, remove tank and airbox, find where the throttle cables hit the throttle bodies, there should be a set screw with a spot of white paint on it, remove the screw and replace it with the 900rr idle screw. put back together, done. Make sure your stock idle screw is set to stock before you start tho or youll never be able to set the fuel air mixture correctly.

On the clutch, just order yourself a Moose EZ Pull Lever and install it in place of your stock perch and lever.
The idle mod is a little more complicated but still easy.
Take off the Tank and Airbox.
You'll need a fairly long OEM idle adjustment cable such as 900RR.
Thread the idle cable into the plate that holds the push and pull throttle cables to the throttle bodies.
You will want to thread it in so that when you screw the adjuster in - it opens the butterflies in the throttle bodies, thus raising the idle.
Goodluck.

on the clutch arm, you gotta remove your side case, and pull the clutch arm out
and you got 2 options, you can either cut it and extended it with a piece of steel and rivet or bolt it on... Or you can weld it longer..
If you weld it, don't go ANY Longer then 1/2" longer then stock!
If you bolt it, you can go around 3/4", but you'll have to bolt it ON the bike.
1/2" is fine I think, makes your clutch pull butter with a MSR

I suggest doing the clutch mod. Drill the cable connection off the clutch arm and drill another hole and attach a piece of steel to it using small bolts and then reattach the cable connector about 1/4 inch past its original position. Then buy the MSR AOF lever, its 100 times nicer and more durable than any of the easy pull levers and its half the price. I wish I would have done this.... I might convert mine over the winter.

Re: f4i idol mod and easy pull mod?
the 900's work fiine, the rumor is that the f2,f3 and f4i ones are the longest..... I'm happy with my 900 cable, it comes out on the left side of my gas tank and is comfortably accessible.
