Re: building a private spot

take out a loan, build your spot, charge people to ride there and host a comp to make your money back.

I'm actually working on something similar to that... I'm hoping to land a 75,000 sq ft building and I do plan to have some indoor action going on in my shop if it ever happens. It's looking very expensive, but no one has ever done anything like I want to do.

Re: building a private spot

I just paid to have my driveway paved last year.
cost almost $6,000. and that was the best price I found, most guys wanted almost 8k! (I got a good size driveway)
Just looking and my driveway and rough estimating, I would say your gonna need $15k to pave a good rectangle spot.

It would help to trade and barter with someone in the "business" or to find a friend who does that type of work... I'm sure, just like anything else, a friend in the business could really save you a ton of money if they felt like helping.

Hell, maybe you could even convince a paving company to "sponsor" you by providing a large discount or free service. If you do shows, you could rock some advertising for them. It might work if you can talk your way into things.

GOD BLESS the mexico spot. it's a shame we can't ride there every night. I've tried, and never made it more than a hour or two without security asking me to leave.

Re: building a private spot

Local stunt team made a spot aprox 20 ft wide maybe 125 to 150 ft long with a 50 to 60 ft circle at one end . alot of people pitched in with equipment to level and prep thhe area . base and aprox 4 in asphalt looks like 2in corse 2in fine cost alittle over $18K. that was materials only at the begining this past spring.. Hope this helps..
