Exclamation Has Anyone Fought A Speeding Ticket

got a ticket last week. my physics teacher said to fight it, he used to stunt (never would have figured until he showed pics) and said he fought all six of his speeding tickets and won. supposidly the radars aren't formatted for bikes and aren't able to directly hit bikes (allowing for an improper reading). if anyone has gotten out of a ticket, please share some tips and suggestions. thanks

yep take it to court...... if nothing else they normally drop the points and normally reduce the fine

radar picks up the largest object if you were in traffic they didnt pick your bike up if you were the only person out there good luck he got you. are you sure he used radar or was it laser if laser you are fucked.

Brother in law is a cop they have to dial in the radars if they don have the certificate for it you can get out of it no prob he told me most don do it at all also for the future ask to see it alot of officers erase it in the event someone else speeds by if they can't show you radar they can't give you a ticket

Deff plea bargain, although points depend on how fast over you were going, but if its a normal speeding ticket paying the fine is easier and its gone that day

+1 on that but if the officer feels that the person was in deed speeding

and or carelessly and heedlessly drives reckless and or endanger he has the right to ticketed him for a class 2 misdemeanor "reckless driving"

Re: Has Anyone Fought A Speeding Ticket

i fight every ticket i get...radar is easy...do some research...if u just show up 99% of the time they offer you 5mph over and no points...so u get a lesser fine too

+1 they have to calibrate their guns before and after their shifts, some are to lazy to do it, so when you go to court ask to see the calibration certificate, if they cant show proof, your off.

Re: Has Anyone Fought A Speeding Ticket

ok so he said i was going 90 in a 65 (bullshit)...dropped it down to 80 in a 65...and said i was weaving in and out of traffic, which i passed(not weaving) 3 cars...and i never passed him (he must have been on the off ramp)...i took the next exit and was going through a school zone, and out of nowhere come these lights...i pulled over cuz i wasn't gonna get chased through a school zone with busses nearby

i told him my speedo is inaccurate cuz i dropped gears

i don't know how the procedure goes in court, like if the judge asks my side of the story and how i plea
...but what main points should i include and what should i leave out so i don't offend the judge?

Re: Has Anyone Fought A Speeding Ticket

asking a board of stuntriders if they have ever fought a speeding ticket is like asking Martha Stewart if she's ever baked a ******* muffin.
