so i'm riding in a big concrete arena this weekend, and i tried out the surface tonight and i coulnd lift the front wheel! too damn slippery. i had something similar last year and i mopped the floor with coca cola.. not sticky enough! This floor is even worse.. what do you guys prep the floor with, and how? mop? Spray?

See if you can find some vht, they use it on the dragstips here even when it is cold and the track still feels like bubble gum!!! You can apply it with a sprayer similar to a hand pump weed sprayer and it adheres quick!

 

use brooms n shovels to spread out sand for a killer show

 

you have to let the coke syrup tack up for at least 30 min. and dont spread it on thick.....if that doesnt work then i dont know, good luck buddy, slippery floors can lead to broken bones quick.

 

ok i did some reading, read a lot about the coke thing. maybe not mop it but spray real lightly? and let it dry real long.. or should i try beer? or syrup with a little water? damn i wanna ride good in there!

 

We did an indoor show last year. coke syrup does real good but make sure u spray it on light and even. It real sucks when you have some in on spot and none in another!

 

ok, cokeSYRUP.. couldnt i just use any kind of syrup?and do you just use it straight as in no water added?

Liks, I really think we should go for the coke. It worked last year, we poped up spreaders then! Now the only thing we need is something to spay with. I suggest a garden sprayer. Lets ask old man Howard to buy 2 or three and spray between the shows and let it dry up, we have 2 hrs time between each show!

 

i dunno man, the syrup thing sounds better! less water in there so more sticky stuff!

 

We got the drift cars for that after our show. It is a big car tuning event, we want to show something different :YEAH

 

What we need to to is make 2 test pieces, coke and syrup.

What sticks best and dries fastest we will use this weekend. I checked for the drag stuff but i don't think they let us use that stuff. We send out the old man to buy syrup coke and garden sprayers. And after that we kick his *** because he has a big nose.

 

haha sounds like a plan. i just sprayed my girlfriends bedroom floor with apple syrup hahahahaha i/m gonna let it dry overnight and see what it does..

 

you can buy the coke syrup in huge quantities pretty cheap and i think you could thin it with water to make it easier to spray , the water should just dry and leave the sticky syrup

 

A really sticky tire helps, Avon Race Rain Slicks (the ones that have lots of crossing groves and are as soft as gummy bears) work well

Also, if you can get your hands on some thin rugs, the kind they use at shops and in business lobbys with the rubber on the bottom side, duct tape those down and you can clutch up HC on them...

Coke syrup works if you spray it with a pesticide sprayer real thin and let it dry 30 min - 1 hour between coats and get a few coats down...
