Re: buells and ducatis

Check out Bubba Blackwell. He does entire stunt shows on just Buells and Harleys. I'm getting an XB12Ss, and I saw him pullin' endos, wheeleys, burnouts, ect. the only thing you have to realize, is that the tank is in the frame, and the air intake is where the tank normaly is. Because of that you cant dent the top in. It's a great bike though. Check the buell site out for more info.

Re: buells and ducatis

if you wanna get into stunting for cheap, or if your on a tight budget the Ducati Desmosedici RR is a great starter bike.

I actually think I might have one of those floating around somewhere in the garage. Bought a few extra a while back so friends would have something to ride when they came over. :D

Dici's are practically disposable. Great starter bike for those learning.

Re: buells and ducatis

I was thinking about getting the XB12s myself not for stunting just to ride until I test rode one this wkend. It felt real heavy even though it claims to be only 395lbs dry and it is under powered. There is a ton of torgue but thats it, the brakes were ok I was expecting better and even the saleman had said these bikes arent built for stunting they will brake and cost a ton to fix.

Also test rode the Speed Triple and that bike was a ton of fun great power gd brakes overall its a solid choice, but I think I will stay jap for now. The new zx-6 is growing on me except for the head lights.

You can go to any Triumph dealer with a Motorcycle lic and test drive there bikes and some Harley dealerships will do the same. Try that before you purchase anything

Re: buells and ducatis

I rode an XB9R and wow, heavy and underpowered. Torque sure, but it fell off at about 2k RPMs hahaha. No way I would want to ride a Buell, let alone stunt one. Ducati? Have fun payin' a **** load for a bike and not being able to find any stunt parts for it. I'm sure both bikes have their positives but I don't think either of them is stunting. If you want to practice stunts and have no idea what bike to buy do yourself a favor and get a Japanese 600 and thank yourself later. After you can rock circles, if you reeeaaally want to switch to the Ducati Desmosedici RR, I say **** it... that ****!

Re: buells and ducatis

How about the new 1125CR? It's got an 1125cc rotax. My friend is a Harley Dealer, and he said that the thing is a beast! I'm either getting an XB12Ss, or 1125CR, my friend's gonna give me a deal, so the cost wont be too high.

Re: buells and ducatis

Dude, I have a 2007 xb9r and I would not recommend getting one I'm not sure of the 1125 but the xb models are not good to stunt the bike has good torque but that is about it plus you would have to convert to chain which is like $800 and I have not seen a cage for one so you may have to make one. I'm not trying to diss Buell but I will never buy another one...EVER.

Re: buells and ducatis

Why is the belt not good? How is the Buell for riding around, maybe the occasional wheelie, or endo? I have my dirt bike, and that would be what I stunt most, because my yard is like 1.7 acres. What does that Hypermotored thing go for?
