Whatever happened to the full throttle handbrake??
I was searching some threads and came across the handbrake the full throttle made that used a clutch lever to activate it. Is this still around? is there anyone using it? If it is any good, where can you find one?

Now now 50,the 13 mm square resi. one that is junk(my first HB) running the FTI one and it works for me, but I suck. My biggest problem is/was bleeding it, I can still hear a little air, a swish sound when I pump the foot lever hard, but I can get the rear wheele to lock.

Re: Whatever happened to the full throttle handbrake??
haha, for some strange reason I can do pretty much every trick and then some with my new FTI handbrake and I know the beemer has more torque and engine pull than any of those jap bikes. I've probably changed the complete system from bike to bike 3 times and changed the actual lines 1 time and it has never taken me more than 15 minutes to bleed it mint.
bleed it, clutch it up a few times quick, crack bleeder valve. repeat once and it works fine.
never had a problem with the cable and I've been using the same orginal system on multiple bikes....
but what do I know? I'm just a sponsored rider who magically bled it and made it work mint.
not knocking HHD bc it is tight and I actually might go with a HHD/FTI combo setup.
my two pence

Teach, your the man, so no disrespect, one of my fav riders, but there are lots of people killin it who dont like it, so ( but what do I know? I'm just a sponsored rider ) doesnt really mean anything accept that you got your setup for free and have to promote it, peoples opinions only go as far as there own setup, cause the next guy likes his a different way

Re: Whatever happened to the full throttle handbrake??
Lots of riders still use that Full Throttle set up here in OZ, they always have issues setting it up but once its done they can easy lock the rear wheel with one finger.
Im just using the piggy back banjo set up with a brembo 16/18, works ok but i dont have the greatest faith in it, It does not always feel the same, sometimes hard/ sometimes squishy?
Im thinking about getting a Hohey dual caliper set up when i can afford it. I hope it will make it more predictable?

yea its still around.... just got the complete set up.... not the cheapest thing but after you get all the air out it works great.... your gonna have to bleed it out as good as you can and ride it to get the rest of the air out..... has 4 different settings and you can get it at fullthrottleinc.net

thing about sponsorship is, i dont take stuff i dont believe in. if it didn't work well for me, i would send it back to bill for a re do and while i may not actively tell people it wasn't working well, i would simply not respond at all to threads like this.
just my two pence....every setup will work pretty much no matter what, its just a pros vs cons thing.

no worries man to each his own...just saying it's not any harder to bleed than any other system and it works for me...lots of people seem to think it sucks and some have had crappy experiences.
