Stunting an R1?

Curious about stunting a 2000 Yamaha R1. Is it worth putting the money into to get it stunt ready? Heard rumours about the oil pick up being in a bad location... Also heard carbs are no good. Is this true? Anything else i should know?

Thanks.

If you're serious about stunting.......no. Get a bike that companies make a lot of stunt parts for(F4i, 636). I couldn't find hardly anything for my '02 R1 when I first started. This is why I now have an F4i. Good luck.

The original one I bought brand new in 2000 is sitting in my living room. The one I was 12'in and crashed on the freeway was a salvage beater I bought off a friend. I have to say they held up pretty good for the burnout drops.

oh, for some reason I had this picture it my head that you had 10 of them all line up and as soon as you wrecked one you just grabed the next one in line

Re: Stunting an R1?

d is the r1 still white with flames??? And like i said the r1 is a decent bike if thats all u got but if ur gettn into the lot thing TRADE it on here for a f4i or 636 i prefer the 6 because it looks better but the f4i is stronger...
