how much oil are you guys use when you are going to use the bike just for stunting?

to the max mark? and a little bit more? is for a kawasaki zx6-rr 04mod

 

i run the recomended amount in mine, if you dont have the clean air mod i wouldnt run any extra, but if you do have it done-half a quart extra is good

just barely to the top of the sight glass for me but i have the clean air mod done

 

i run mine mormal, no mod, and its a v twin so i should run more......

And lots of people think these are weak motors (as in they blow up easily)... NOT TRUE, If you can keep the RPM's in a wheelie under 9K or so they last forever... That is for you street killers... in the lot just lay off the rev-coasters and you're fine. Manual cam chain tensioner is a plus, or you can put a spring from a GSXR cam chain tensioner in the kawi tensioner and it keeps it a little tighter...

 

alot of people blow them up from hydrolocking them thats why i recomend the clean air mod on any 636 , once thats done i don't think the high revs hurt it

 

agreed, kinda... i still think that even with a motor that has 1/2 a quart overfilled, that reving to 12K or so like some people do on the highway is all bad...

Low revs = happy bike and no motor problems...

And most people know how much I used to rock the streets, '05, '06, '07 and not one blown 636 motor..........

I dont use oil. Just water. Oil is seriously overrated, and is a corporate rip off! beer lubricates even better!

I used to run to the top of the sight glass (bike LEVEL!) without clean air mod, and never had a prob. BUT, I would suggest clean air, because right after I sold it the guy changed the oil, put a little more than the top, and locked the motor.......
