well i got my bike all back together from my lask wreck, sent everything out to get powdercoated and i did the paint job myself !!!! i just recived my johnnyp upper stay today in the mail and now ill put on the race upper & lowers!!!!! i took it out for about a hr at the lot and so far so good!!!

what'd you use to paint? i'm wanting to paint mine real bad

 

i been trying for a year sending him pm's and gave up. then a few weeks ago i tried again and almost **** myself when he pm'd back a said he'd have one for me in a few weeks,,,, and as promised he got back to me and said he had one ready and i had it at my door within 4 days from canada!!! :YEAH :YEAH amazing product!!!! i'm getting it powdercoated monday then it ff time !!!!

 

i already had a air compressor in my garage so i went to harbor freight and bought a cheap *** hvlp gravity feed paint gun for $20, in line filters $12, 2 stage demension paint from sherwin williams automotive paint $85, paint reducer $16, can of paint hardner $10, and a sheet of plastic to make a getto *** paint booth in the garage for $4 so i pretty much did it all for about $150 bucks. and i love the fact i did it on my own.

 

so just $85 bucks worth of the paint? there's a sherwin williams right down the road so i think i might just go tell them what i'm trying to do and what you did

it looks super good though i hope mine turns out that well

 

hell yea!!!! they are really help full. make sure you ask them how to mix it all together or it will turn out like ***.. good luck man,, post up pics when your done

 

 

painting is the easy part, all the prep work is what makes it come out good.


take your time with all the sanding, or else your going to be kicking yourself in the *** later.

yeah i recruited one of my friends who does body work for a living to help me ha, he said the same exact thing

 

nice bike man. the johnny p stay is the best. i just flipped a stoppie at right aroun 40 mph and the bike if still minty lol me not so much. i broke my collar bone

Where did you find these? did they filter out moisture and how well?

 

they are small round plastic in line filters. i screwed it into the bottom of the gun & ot worked out great. traps the moisture and prevents fish eyes in the paint. almost and automotive paint shop had em and lask week i seen that oriellys also has em.

 

the paint scheme is sick..lol mine needs some paint bad
