Lot liability insurance?

Hey guys. We're looking at renting a lot. The landowner is requiring that we have liability medical coverage for the team(5 guys). Do any of you know of a company that will do this sort of thing? As long as we can stay under $200 a piece for rent and insurance, we're willing to do it. We just lost our one and only spot( ), and think it would be great to be able to have a spot noone could kick us out of. Thanks in advance.

Re: Lot liability insurance?

look at insurers for companies, you may have to form your own company to do it. thats the only thing i can think of, other than proving to him that all of you have health insurance or something

Re: Lot liability insurance?

Finding team coverage is going to be expensive. Run full coverage on your bikes and include property liability, that should cover everything you need.

Re: Lot liability insurance?

LRM I think has the right idea, it's a motor vehicele so pay for full coverage and maybe have a lawyer write a proper liability waiver to comfort the land owner. Health insurance once told me that if I slam my finger in the car door to claim the medical with my auto insurance. If I get hurt stunting now I say I fell down, walking playing in atree etc.

Re: Lot liability insurance?

Thanks for the responses. The land owner laughed at our liability waivers. He's a millionaire, so he wants to cover his ***.

Hey xRYNOx.....was that suppose to be a link?

Re: Lot liability insurance?

sucks but lots are few and far between anymore and the really good ones are definately hard to come by!

Just FYI, but liability insurance for 1/2 a mil. on painting contractor in KS is about $600./ year.... Not sure if that helps, but I would think someone could write you guys a policy as "entertainment contractors" or something like that.... I'd just call an insurance company and tell them it's liability only so that you don't have to estimate earnings or get audited or anything like work comp policy..

good luck.
