Early morning ride = bad

So i wake up and decide to go ride while its nice and cool. Think i should work on some right hand circles so im tryin different ways of doing it. Throw right foot on pass peg and left on seat and clutch it up not thinkin i should cover a brake cuz normally i have my foot on that brake and WHAMMY. Love that floating feeling when you know you going over, and since you on stock gearing it just picks up speed and seems to last forever. Anyone else have moments like that where you totaly shut you head off and dont think for some reason. **** im an idiot, blew the resivour cap off, spilt my brake fliud everywhere, bent the bar to **** and rashed it up, but concidering its a gsxr thats a miricle its all it did.

Re: Early morning ride = bad

I almost just did that. I was practicing ss on my ttr (no hb) and wasnt thinking and clutched it up a little too much, brought it strait to bp and coasted a few seconds before bringing the front end back down. Didnt have time to think "oh ****" but I dont like ss coasters with no hb.

Re: Early morning ride = bad

my latest and greatest was doing a spreader and said hmmm, wouldn't it be cool to slide into the seat and throw it into a sitdown coaster, well, slid down, bumped the throttle, pulled in the clutch, and forgot the brake .... after hitting the bar i figured it out and remembered, oh yeah, brake

Re: Early morning ride = bad

I've done it couple times. Thankfully I didn't wreck either time, just hit the bar kinda hard and slid to a stop.

Re: Early morning ride = bad

i did that a few weeks ago trying circles to the right not thinking i had my left foot in the seat and my right foot on the peg. didn't think about the handbrake. went str8 to the pipe saved it but it was a shitty feeling after you clutch it up and realize it.

Glad im not the only one. For some reason it felt like since my foot was down there it would be over the brake but it turns out there actually isnt a rear brake on the pass peg. Who knew.

hahaha yeah i think its just because you have your brain programmed and your so used to your foot being over the brake if it's on a peg on the right side. so nothing triggers that something is wrong until its really really wrong.
