going from maxxis to avon storm

yup......i am going to attempt to make the switch. i have tried all my resources to get one and since maxxis is apparently not selling motorcycle tires i broke down and ordered an avon storm. its crunch time before xdl and i love new tires soooooo i had to get one.

supposedly the storm compares to the supermaxx. hopefully i like it just as much.

is anyone else having a super hard time getting there hands on maxxis's????? i heard they were in some law suit and stopped selling motorcycle tires in the US

Re: going from maxxis to avon storm

Starting the Fall of 2008, Maxxis brand motorcycle tires for street/highway use only will be very difficult to get, due to Maxxis' decision to quit producing motorcycle tires for street/highway use only, effective January 2009. Thank you.

email i got after tryin to get one and finding out it was on back order.

Man I can't believe Maxxis is out of the picture. I've been running them since early '04.

Good luck with the swap give us a review.

I recently tried out a set of shinkos because they were already on my bike and are near new and so far I like them about the same as the maxxis.

Re: going from maxxis to avon storm

so thats why they're charging 200 for a maxxis rear on ebay...........maxxis decision=gay. they prolly spent a ton of $ for r and d only to drop it? weird....the lawsuit must have been serious.
