Re: idel help for a 08 600 rr !!!!!!!!!!!

if im not mistaking, its an fi light, meaning fuel injection. could be do to fuel air mixture. some injected bikes are a bitch due to the mapping with the fuel air ratio. not sure, but i think its the same issue my brother had with his 06 750 gix. dunno, maybe its that..

Re: idel help for a 08 600 rr !!!!!!!!!!!

the 07 08 600rr can not be controlled off of the throttle body. it has to be controlled off of the throttle itself.

Re: idel help for a 08 600 rr !!!!!!!!!!!

me and another guy that has the same bike tried it and every time we try to adjust it it just shoots up to about or around 5 grand. . . so after much thought the only way to control it would be to use the same principle but off the throttle itself

Re: idel help for a 08 600 rr !!!!!!!!!!!

if you re map it would that mean that it would only be at the one idle or could you adjust it

im pretty sure its normal for the bike to throw a FI light and HESD light when you unplug the speed sensor, which you have to do for the idle to work correctly on 07/08rr's. theres a few others with 07's on this site, hopefully they'll confirm this.

Re: idel help for a 08 600 rr !!!!!!!!!!!

here's a pic of the speed sensor connector. this is the left side of the bike around the motor obviously. gotta disconnect this or else the idle will be erratic. the only downside is the speedo wont work and the bike will show a FI light and HESD light.

roc, if you didn't disconnect the speed sensor and are already showing a FI light then you probably didn't hook everything back up right after you put in your idle cable. re check your work.

Re: idel help for a 08 600 rr !!!!!!!!!!!

Good call... Def need to unplug the speed sensor for it to work right. Otherwise the revs will shoot up randomly. If you're throwing an fi light check that map sensor. I had an issue with it a few days ago. Just had to make sure that the hose going to the sensor was on there tight. It comes off easy when you're putting the airbox back on.
