Its your sprocket... what are you running, Ive had 3 k5 gsxr 600 and never had this prob, go 10+ in the rear and never down on the front, puts more stress on the transmission and makes it more "jerkyer" than the gsxr already is. once you fix that prob you will be able to bring it down to 3-3200rpm.

then i dont know what to tell ya bro, try going back to stock on the front. Like i said -1 on the front puts more stress on the tranny and prob is not spinning freely as it should, going up on the back gives smooth power and going down on the front gives torque power. I run mine at 3200. and it idle coast at 3k, sooooo you might wanna try going back to stock on the front, its a $20 try

Re: getting an 05 gsxr 600 to idle

maybe there's an issue with weight? or torque/power is lost.

Re: getting an 05 gsxr 600 to idle

The pair (clean air) mod helps low idle pull a bit, but I have never been able to get mine to idle in the range between 2k and 3200 or so. I just always ran it higher than 3200

ps I ran -1 +10 as well

Re: getting an 05 gsxr 600 to idle

I would say do the clean air mod. that helped my buddies pull hard on idle when we did it.

I havn't done it on my gsxr yet but I am going to soon.

Re: getting an 05 gsxr 600 to idle

all you need is a few feet of 3/8 air hose, (preferably clear hose so you can check for oil). a 3/8 plastic t-valve and some clamps.....
