F4 Boggin Endo

So whenever i roll an endo on my 2000 F4 for more than 2.7938492 inches my bike either shuts off or will bogg for a LONG time afterwards. I mean yeah its carbed but i didnt figure it would be that big of a problem unless im riding circles, or so i heard? After i do it more than a couple of times it will shut off right when i grab the brake hard enough to pull it up, and its pissing me off because i cant do any whoolies after that for at least a half hour of regular riding, because it will randomly spit and sputter. I tried filling up the tank all the way and then doing it but didnt help for more than a couple times. Is there anything i can do or is this what i get for trying to stunt wihout fi?

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

If i decide a motor swap is the best thing to do, i might as well sell it and just buy an f4i. I just hate it because i either have to devote a whole trip out to my spot for endos or wheelies, not both for long. I need some info that will help preferably under $200 :YEAH College=000000

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

sounds like the bike needs the carbs cleaned and synced. give it a tune up and go from there.

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

I dont think it has anything to do with the cut-off switch because it doesnt necessarily kill itsself everytime, it will just run extremely low idle and i have to give it a lot of throttle for it to stay running, if i dont it shuts off. After a handfull of them it shuts off immediately as i pull the rear up but thats after much bogging and sputtering. I cant clutch up afterwards because it does it so much that i cant get a steady gas flow enough to do anything. If i park it afterwards and start it again it takes 30 seconds to start turning over with a lot of gas, and its really annoying when my friend can just hit it and go. Damn fi............pfft.

I should get the carbs cleaned, when i bought it a couple of months ago he said that it was "jetted and piped"? Never really knew if he was talking about the carbs on the bike or something he had just heard from the previous owner to sound like he knew what he was talking about?

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

well what are you setting the idle at? it should be around 1,500 rpms at normal idle.sounds to me like you have never messed with the idle before and it's turned down too low. set it at 2,000-2,500

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

Yeah your right i havent touched the idle since i bought it, i thought that could be the case, but when i pull in the clutch in first gear, even at 5 or 6 grand, shoudnt it still go back down to only normal idle, so why does it drop so low when i do endos? Thats why i keep thinking its something to do with the carbs, but maybe not. It idles after warming up at about 1300, give or take a few. You think thats too low? Ill try setting it up a bit higher and see what it does. Thanks.

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

I'm thinking its your tip over sensor. take a small piece of copper wire, file both ends flat so you can plug it into the harness and jump the RED and GREEN wires together...... then wrap it all in electrical tape.

Re: F4 Boggin Endo

do the throttle bodies from an F4i bolt up to an f4 motor? or is the head different? I have a set of throttle bodies, full wiring harness and ECU that I probably will never use.
